Customize your Home View
The “Home” chatroom is now your group's default Home view.
Choose a different chatroom to be your Home chat.
Easily choose another Home / landing page for your group by clicking “Edit Menu.” Click the Home icon on your preferred view to set it as the new default.
Create a Welcome Page
Navigate to your Group's Settings and click on Welcome Page
Create Welcome Page content that introduces your community's purpose and vision, with instructions for new members to take to get oriented and activated.
This Welcome page will be the first thing that new members see when they land in your group. It can also be found in the All Views page, and can be added to your Group Menu if you want people so your members can re-review it.
Click Edit Menu in your Group Settings to configure your Group Menu. Easily add, remove, and rearrange different views in your Group Menu.
Add new views by clicking on the (+) icon on the view
Remove views by dragging them to the top of the Group Menu, where it says “Drag Here to remove from menu”
Rearrange views using the drag handle - drag and move widgets to specific locations in the context menu
Organize your content with container widgets
Create a container view to hold specific views, chat rooms, or even an individual post that they want to highlight
Create a container view by clicking “Add New View”
Click “Add Container”
Decide if this container is viewable only by admins or by all members
Add
Chat Rooms [existing chat rooms in your Group]
Custom Views [external link, post stream filter, collection of existing posts]
Members [of that Group]
Groups [that you are a member of]
Posts [chose from existing posts in the Group]
Use the “Add New View” button to create new Chat Rooms or Custom View, and to add Chat Rooms, Custom Views, Members, Groups, or Posts to the group menu
Chat rooms are manually created by a group steward. Hylo will no longer create a chat channel for every Topic.
Decide what chat rooms you want for your group [Note: Chat rooms are still connected to a topic and any posts that use that topic in that group will appear in the chat room if it exists]
Click on Edit Menu, navigate to the Chat view and click "Add new chat"
Delete existing chatrooms by clicking the drag handle and dragging the selected chatroom to the top, where it says "Drag here to remove from the menu"
