Round Phases Explained

Round phases are stages that participatory funding rounds progress through, with specific purposes and features. Rounds can advance automatically based on dates you set, or can be moved manually.

1. Draft Phase

  • Visibility: Only stewards can see the round

  • Purpose: Configure settings before launch

  • Actions: Edit all parameters, test configurations

2. Lobby/Announcement Phase

  • Visibility: All group members can see and join

  • Purpose: Generate interest and allow planning

  • Features:

    • Members join the round to participate

    • Discussion begins in the round's chat room

    • Submission requirements are visible

    • Collaboration and idea generation

3. Submissions Open

  • Visibility: Submissions hidden from non-stewards during this phase

  • Purpose: Collect proposals for community review and refinement

  • Features:

    • Members submit projects using the template

    • Stewards receive notifications of new submissions

    • Automatic or manual phase progression

    • Proposals can be edited by creators and edited

    • Community discussion via comments

    • Stewards can remove submissions if needed

4. Voting Phase

  • Visibility: All submissions visible, editing locked

  • Purpose: Collective decision-making

  • Features:

    • Tokens allocated to all current participants

    • Real-time vote allocation and adjustment

    • New members can join to view but cannot vote

    • Submissions cannot be edited

    • If you go back en earlier phase then votes will be reset
