Navigating Groups

A group in Hylo is a dedicated space for a community, organization, or network to connect, collaborate, and coordinate.

Your Groups are listed alphabetically in the Global Navigation menu. You can pin important groups to top for easy access.

Once in a Group, you will see the Group menu on the left panel of your screen. The group menu organizes your most important content and views. Here you'll find chat rooms for topic-specific conversations, custom sections for important links and resources, and different ways to connect with your group - like requests and offers for mutual support, the stream (showing all posts chronologically with filtering options), the groups tab (ecosystem/network map), and the group map (geographic view of content).

Upon landing in your group, you will be navigated to the "home" view, which by default is the #general chatroom, which is the central conversation space.

Group stewards determine what appears in the menu, but members can access all available views by clicking the "All Views" button. See Group Views/Spaces.
